Words of Inspiration and Motivation

Here are a few quotes from Susan Bredekamp in the Child Care Sector:
Dr. Bredekamp stated, “Children benefit most from teachers who have the skills, knowledge, and judgment to make good decisions and are given the opportunity to use them.” NAEYC, Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs serving children from birth through age 8 (2009).
Dr. Bredekamp stated, “We are decision makers. As adults caring for children, it is our responsibility to seek out and intentially plan the best opportunities for children that support their over-all well-being and healthy development.”
Here are a few quotes from Lilian Katz in the Public Early Childhood Education: Dr. Katz stated, “Children also learned persistence during more difficult tasks, such as using string to measure circumference or figuring out how to measure a ball’s bounce.
Dr. Katz stated, “Where literacy and numeracy skills are applied in a purposeful context, are intellectually engaging and not academic boot camps.”
Here are quotes about passion, motivation, and wisdom from two of the professionals in the video segment:
Raymond Hernandez stated, “I’m not here to save the world; I’m here just to make a difference in the community that I’m working.”
Renatta M. Cooper stated, “It’s not all about you; you got to take your ego out of it and think about what’s best for the child.”

Personal Childhood Web

The five people who nutured and cared about me when I was a child were my mother, dad, grandmother, both of my great aunts.
Marie is my mother's name and she is in her 70's.  My mother has influenced my life as a child when she would work 12 hours a day and 7 days a week to make sure there was food for to eat and to buy the things that I needed for school, even though she would be sick and didnt really feel like going to work but she went anyway which made me want to be like her when I was grown and had my own family to be able to push myself to make sure they have everything they needed no matter if I was sick and didnt feel like going to work.

Joe Lee was the name of my dad who has been dead since 1999 and my dad cared about me because he also made sure there was food in the house for us to eat because when I was a child he worked 5 days a week and 8 hours a day to make sure we had everything we needed.

Mary Pate was the naem of my grandmother who has ben dead since1992 and my grandmother made me feel special when I was a child because she would make sure that she cooked me a pan of homemade biscuits everytime I went to visit her and would say that she had cooked them just for me.

My great aunt Sally which was my grandmother's sister which is the one that gave me my nickname because she said that I looked like her and the nickname that she gave me was Sally gal which made me feel special.

Mae Bell is my other great aunt who was also my grandmother's sister, who influenced life as a child because as a single parent of 8 children to be able to raise them by herself and work everyday to make sure they had a place to stay and food to eat and clothes to wear to school and still have time to preach at the church she went to in New York City, which both of great aunts are dead.
